SharjMap (Android) is the mobile companion to the SharjMap web platform — Azerbaijan's discovery layer for electric-vehicle charging infrastructure. Burncode delivered the native Android client and the live data layer that mirrors station availability across the network in real time.
What we built
- Live charger map — every station coloured by status (available / occupied / out-of-service), updated in real time from operator consoles.
- Filter by connector — Type 2, CCS, CHAdeMO — and by power output (kW), so drivers see only the chargers that fit their car.
- Route planning — long-distance trips with charging stops factored in, optimised for total travel time including charge breaks.
- Station detail — pricing, photos, working hours, ratings, and reviews from other drivers.
- Favourites & recent — pin the chargers a driver visits often for one-tap access.
- Multi-language — Azerbaijani, English, Russian.
Civic impact
SharjMap is a non-profit initiative aimed at accelerating EV adoption in Azerbaijan. The mobile app removes the last excuse — "I won't find a charger when I need one" — by putting the entire network in the driver's pocket.
